Rummy 500 Rules

Goal

Be the first player to reach 500 points

Gameplay

• Deal cards
  • 2 players = 13 cards each
  • 3-4 players = 7 cards each
• Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, players take turns drawing from the stock or discard pile
• Players lay down sets or runs of cards (3+ cards) on the table
• Players lay down cards that match sets/runs that are already on the table
• Players earn points for the cards that lay down
• The round ends when a player runs out of cards
• The game is won when one player reach 500 or more points

Rules

• Play begins with the player to the left of the dealer
• After each round, the next player to the left deals cards
• A set is three or four cards of the same rank
• A run is three or more cards of the same suit in sequential order
• Face cards are worth 10 points each
• Number cards are worth 5 points each
• Aces are worth 15 when played high or 5 when played low
• When drawing from the discard pile, all cards on top of the card be drawn must be taken and the bottom card drawn must be played
